Hi! My name is Mohammadmahdi Zafarmand (friends call me Mahdi). I am a software developer at Google working in GCP: Anthos Qualification team (Mar 2022 -- now). Previously, I worked at Oracle as a software developer intern in MySQL & HeatWave Development team (Oct 2021 -- Mar 2022) and before that contributed to developing Meerkat, an open-source data analytic tool for analyzing changes over time in a network of entities (Oct 2020 -- Oct 2021).

I graduated from the Computing Science department at the University of Alberta in September 2020 with the degree of Master of Science. I worked on Social Network Analysis under the supervision of Osmar R. Zaïane and Christine Largeron. My thesis title is Community Detection and Discovery in Deterministic and Uncertain Networks. I did my undergraduate studies in Electrical Engineering at the University of Tehran, the most prestigious university in Iran.

I was born in Mashhad, the second largest city in Iran! I received my diploma in Physics and Mathematics discipline from Shahid Hasheminejad High School, under the supervision of NODET (National Organization for Developing Exceptional Talents).
